Like a magnet: Fermin attracts likeminded people to his cause—be it civil rights, free dental care, or preschool opportunities—by rolling up his sleeves and getting started.  His passion inspires people to want to be a part of his mission. Together, they make great things happen.

Bridge into the Woods

Like a bridge:  Fermin connects rich and poor, educated and illiterate, believers and non-believers—so they can work side-by-side—by honoring the perspective each brings to the project and interpreting it for all others.  He makes diversity rewarding.

Like a machinist:  Fermin finds a place for everyone.  When the mission is accomplished—and all are celebrating the common victory—everyone realizes that they have been positively changed by the shared experience, including Fermin. Everyone has been refined, sharpened, and brightened.
